Pupils
take to the catwalk for charity
The
team at Scott Robb Hairdressing recently helped local high
school, Bell Baxter raise over £2000 at a charity fashion
show. The fund raising event was to support a group of senior
pupils who are making a 31 day charity trip to Costa Rica
as part of World Challenge.
Scott
and his team helped a group of pupils take the fashion show
from a simple idea to a professional event which saw 30 models
take to the catwalk.
As
well as giving each model a new look for the show, Scott's
team also helped the pupils secure the other sponsors needed
to make the event a success - Julie Collier, chairperson of
the Fellowship of British Hairdressing was the compare for
the evening, New Look and, local designer clothes shop, The
Turret provided the clothes for the models, students &
lecturers from the beauty therapy department at Elmwood college
provided make-up, and choreographer Paula Tennie helped the
pupils prepare 6 stunning cat walk routines.
Scott
said, "Lots of the kids from the local school come to the
salon and it was great to be able to give something back.
The fashion show was a fantastic success and all of the models
were on a real high when they came off of the catwalk.
"Having
Julie join us on the evening as compare was brilliant and
gave the event a real touch of glamour."
